Megan Nichols | LCSW, CEAP, CDWF

Clinical Therapist

Megan is grateful to say that she is living out her calling. Transitioning her career path to social work while studying pre law at Baylor was purely an act of faith and this path couldn’t align more with her values, talents and passion for connection. Megan earned her Bachelor and Master of Social Work at Baylor University in 2008/2009. She started her first baby social worker job at an inpatient behavioral health facility. She learned so much about acute mental health and recognized the value of therapy and education in coping with symptoms of mental illness. From that moment, her journey took various directions. Megan continued her medical social work journey in home health, organizational development, marketing, community education and returned to the hospital setting.

Regardless of the setting, the importance of self awareness, education and understanding in the realm of mental health and wellness continued to be priority for Megan. In 2016, her journey in direct clinical practice began. She obtained her clinical license and pursued various training opportunities including EAP specialization, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR,) The Daring Way™️ Curriculum (based in the research of Dr. Brenè Brown,) Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and others. Building and implementing an internal employee assistance program blossomed into a thriving, community-based therapeutic practice.

Through personal experience, passion and natural leanings…the primary population Megan serves are teens and women. She specializes in working with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, personality disorders, post partum depression & anxiety, eating disorders and helping people overcome shame and hurdles that hold them back from experiencing their most authentic life. Megan would love to partner with you on your journey towards joy.

She is a mindfulness and trauma informed therapist specializing in caring for teens and women facing depression, anxiety, post-partum struggles, grief, trauma, shame, ADD/ADHD and personality disorders.
