Recognizing Mental Health Needs

It is not always easy to recognize when a mental health therapist might benefit you. The reality is that every person at various points in their journey through life has much to gain from pursuing therapy. Enso knows that mental health plays a fundamental role in your well-being. The many ups and downs of life can lead us into negative patterns of thinking, feeling, or behaving. These struggles can interfere with living intentional and fulfilling lives.

Negative Patterns Can Be Observed In Several Ways:

  • Relationship Difficulties – Poor communication, conflict, and difficulty maintaining healthy boundaries.

  • Maladaptive or Unproductive Behaviors – Behaviors that may have been helpful in the past but are no longer serving you well, such as substance abuse, self-harm, or avoidance.

  • Emotional Dysregulation – Overwhelming emotions or difficulty managing emotions effectively.

  • Cognitive Distortions – Thought patterns that are inaccurate, negative, or unhelpful such as “all-or-nothing” thinking, overgeneralization, or catastrophizing.

  • Feeling Stuck – Working through times of transition and loss of identity can leave you feeling stuck or uninspired. The utilizing therapy in such times is worthwhile.

You May Also Consider The Help Of A Therapist For Specific Situations As Well:

  • You are experiencing symptoms of depression or anxiety.

  • You are going through a major life transition such as a divorce, a move, or loss of a loved one.

  • You are struggling with substance abuse or addiction.

  • You are having difficulty managing stress or coping with daily life.

  • You are experiencing self-esteem, self-worth issues, or negative self-thoughts.

  • You are struggling with past trauma or abuse.

  • You are experiencing persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, or worthlessness.

  • You are having trouble regulating your emotions or managing anger.

  • You are having physical symptoms that do not have an apparent physical cause, such as: trouble sleeping, changes in appetite or energy levels, headaches, or stomach aches, etc.
