Enso’s FAQ

Some of our most popular Questions & Answers

  • Direct Primary Care is a somewhat new version family medicine, or primary care in general. Basically, patients have a membership with the “Doctor’s office,” sort of like a gym membership. This allows care to be delivered directly to the patient without involving insurance companies in deciding what is best for the patient. This also allows the providers within the practice to care for a limited number of patients compared to a traditional family practice and to offer creative and tailored treatment plans.

  • Short answer: No.

Though many of our members do have health insurance, Enso does not bill services to health insurance plans. If you have health insurance, you can still utilize your insurance benefits for (many) medications we prescribe, labs we order, and imaging tests that we order.

We aren’t insurance specialists, but we encourage our patients (and friends and family) to look at options for catastrophic coverage if they do not have health insurance coverage.

  • Not quite. To keep the price of membership affordable for most people, we limit our services to our published business hours. We are significantly more available to our patients, compared to providers availability and accessibility in a more traditional clinic. We also encourage texting when needs arise, and we strive to offer more holistic care than traditional family practices.

  • Good question! See our Membership Benefits Page for more.

  • Sometimes. There may be additional costs for supplies needed during procedures, as we base our pricing on the cost we incur. As with every other industry, costs increase, supply availability shifts, and demand fluctuates. The difference at Enso is our priority to be transparent with our pricing and to assist in decisions regarding additional costs. We also offer medical grade supplements, weight loss programs, hormone replacement, and Botox that incur additional costs.

One more thing – Megan, our friend and therapist, is AMAZING. Her skills warrant fees that are not included in our membership fee. Trust us, she’s well worth it!

  • Nearly all of the supplements my family and I use are from Orthomolecular! It is important to the Enso team that our patients have access to high-quality, reputable, and affordable supplements. Some products are available for purchase at clinic, but you don’t even have to come into clinic (or put on pants!) to purchase Orthomolecular products and many of the other high-quality supplements we frequently talk about in clinic. Look for the Fullscripts link prominently displayed on our website, and follow the link to submit an order online (without talking to anyone or putting pants on), and they’ll be shipped directly to your door. You can also find thorough, evidence based information (complete with references!) on many of the supplements we frequently recommend under the resources tab on our site.

(This might not excite you, but you should SEE the excitement from Doc, Casey, and Kelsey when they find a good source of info to share with patients. Like kids on Christmas!)

  • Yes! We are so excited to offer this option to our members, as well as other medical weight loss options such as Transform, Phentermine, Buproprion (also branded as Wellbutrin), and others. We also have an AMAZING counselor on site. Enso Direct Care providers work with patients to create individual weight management programs. These programs include nutritional consults, suggestions for lifestyle modifications, follow-up visits (in person, by phone, or sometimes even by text) to help with accountability and further your success.

  • This is Dr. Ted. His career ended in a tragic surgical accident about 4 years ago. Dr. Ted hangs out at the clinic for entertainment and emotional support. He believes himself to be in a perpetual game of hide-and-seek, however he was last spotted in a plant on Sandie’s desk.

  • False, however, Doc is a man of many, many talents. He has played piano in the past (not professionally… yet), but he is currently studying the violin and has attended weekly lessons for several years!

  • Our goal at Enso is for our patients NOT to have to use our waiting room. We recognize that sometimes a wait is inevitable, or that you might want to leave friends or family in the waiting room while we talk, so we’ll always have a comfy place for our visitors to sit.
